It's all about tradition for Liam Tower.
He makes copper products by hand the old fashioned way in his Berkshire workshop.
Tower is the head coppersmith for Jacob Bromwell. It's a hand-crafted houseware company that's been in business for more than 190 years.
"Flasks, beer steins, copper cups, items like that, but we make thousands of flasks a year," said Tower.
Jacob Bromwell found Tower through his personal business Vermont Copper Inc.
"I didn't know what to think at first. It was one of those things you get an email and you think, is this spam? What's going on here," said Tower.
He now makes 40 different products for them using tools that are at least 100-years-old.
"Most of them have a tin lining which is done on a hot plate which is the traditional way of the product," said Tower.
The flasks are one of the most popular items places like Filson and Williams Sonoma sell them under the Jacob Bromwell label. But Tower is the man behind Jacob Bromwell. And his booze bottles were picked as one of Food and Wine Magazine's top unique gift picks.
"People like these gifts they really do," said Tower.
His products range in price from $200 to $400 for the artisan collection.
"They're made one at a time we don't have a manufacturing line you're making parts slowly and it's time consuming," said Tower.
All of his materials are sourced from the United States.
"It's heirloom quality we want to know they're being passed down to your kids or someone else in your family," said Tower.
