New report on wage disparities in Vermont

BURLINGTON, Vt. -

April 12 is Equal Pay Day. We are digging deeper into the pay gap between men and women with a look at a study just released by a Vermont nonprofit.

Looking at numbers here, the median income for women in Vermont is $37,000. That's $7,000 less than for men.

Tiffany Bluemle is with Change the Story Vermont, a nonprofit devoted to building economic security for women. That organization put together the report called "Where Vermont Women Work and Why it Matters." Bluemle appeared on "The :30" to tell us about the findings. Watch the video for more.
