The protectors of Vermont's outdoors are honoring one of their own.
Vermont Fish and Wildlife administrators presented Robert Currier with the Game Warden of the year award Tuesday. The governor highlighted Currier's role in saving a hypothermic woman in February 2015. He was selected by his peers within the Fish and Wildlife Department.
"I'm humbled to receive this award from my peers. I don't think I do anything above and beyond what anybody else I work with does. I think that we all work hard to fulfill our mission and I'm just very honored to receive this," said Currier.
Currier has been a warden for four years. He serves out of the Burlington district.
