Rutland Rec's team Alderman are 5th and 6th graders that had a great regular season, finishing as the second seed in the league.

Eli, an 11 year old first baseman asks, "When do you like to swing at the first pitch?"

Lake Monsters outfidler, Steven Pallares says, "I like to swing at the first pitch at any time. Whenever it's a good opportunity, runners in scoring position. I think there's no bad time to swing at the first pitch. I'm always hunting the fastball, so if there's a fastball in the zone first pitch, you should be swinging. I know I am."

Jevin, an 11 year old pitcher asks, "How do you throw a sinker?"

Lake Monsters pitcher, Heath Bowers says, "The way I do it is I put my fingers together, between the two seams and my thumb under the ball and make sure that I'm on top of it and I throw it hard."

Trey, a 12 year old shortstop asks, "What's the farthest homerun you ever hit and when did you do it?"

Lake Monsters outfielder, James Terrell says, "The farthest homerun I've even hit was when I was 13. It was a 400 foot homerun and it was with an old Eastman besr bat, which you can't use anymore, because I hit a 400 foot homerun when I was 13."
