The Vermont Softball Coaches Association held its annual North-South Senior classic this weekend at Castleton University.
There were originally scheduled to be one, nine-inning game on Friday night and two, seven-inning games on Saturday. However, rain on Friday night caused a suspension in the first inning of the Friday night game. The remainder of that nine inning game was played on Saturday followed by one, seven-inning game.
The North won game one, 8-1 and took game two in come from behind fashion, 9-5.
Between games the Mackenzie Pratt scholarship was awarded to two players, Kayla Lancor from Hartford and Colchester's Danielle Whitham.
