French Fry Tour: Topic of the Town

Posted: Updated:
LITTLETON, N.H. -

Two Sisters, plus a couple more siblings.

"Our brother does the eggs. hes the egg man," says Dori Fekay.

"My sister Kelly does toast on Sunday Mornings," says Ashlea Miller.

And their parents, are the topic of the town, our last stop on the French Fry tour.

Dennis and Doris Fekay bought the restaurant in 1984 and now their daughter Ashlea owns it and her sister Dori helps out when she can.

"We have always been brought up in it. We were raised to cook," says Ashlea.

"Yeah we don't know any different," says Dori.

They started at a little snack bar their parents owned called Denbos.

"They are carrying on what we started.  You get proud of them.  I get sentimental about my kids I guess," says Dennis.

And any sibling rivalry, takes a back seat to what they call a well oiled machine.

"I love working with her.  Cause we have a good time, cause we like each other," says Dori.

And everyone seems to like their fries.

"We pile all our fries up. We want them to falling off when the girls take them out," says Dori.

So good, Roland Carreau and his wife Barbara from New Bedford Massachusetts come here every year on their way home from a family reunion in Canada.

"Look at that french fry.  You see that? It's delicious.  Wonderful.  The best there is," says Carreau.

That sounds like a good note to end our fry tour on.
