Jay Peak receiver: Resorts back on track

Posted: Updated:
JAY, Vt. -

Fall foliage is driving leaf peepers to the Northeast Kingdom and the troubled Jay Peak Resort.

A fraud investigation at Jay Peak and Burke has led to months of turmoil and financial uncertainty at the resorts, but the man put in charge of getting the mountains back on track says things are looking good.

"The hotels are doing very well now and that certainly will attract many buyers, we expect there to be numerous people looking at the property," said Michael Goldberg, Jay Peak Receiver.

On "The :30," our Keith McGilvery talked with Goldberg about the possible timeline for the sale of the properties, and who might be interested in buying them.

Goldberg says Burke is at 100 percent capacity this weekend, with Jay Peak hovering around 90 percent.
