After Saturday's game, UVM assistant captain Travis Blanleil spoke about the hazing investigation that resulted in the suspension of four Catamount captains for 5 games. The sanctions were handed down on Thursday. Blanleil was not present on the day of the hazing incident, so he was not suspended, but he still shares in the blame.
"I'd say as a team, we let the state down," he said. "It was decisions that were made and they were mistakes. We're apologetic. We made mistakes and we're paying the price for it. The captains are taking the fall for a team issue that happened. I just wanted to outline that. They're the ones getting punished, but it was a team wide issue."
The other four captains are eligible to return Sunday, October 30 as the Cats visit Northeastern.
