Queen City mayor weighs in on potential teacher strike

Posted: Updated:
BURLINGTON, Vt. -

Tensions are boiling over in Burlington as teachers prepare for a strike vote.

Teachers have held informational pickets in their quest for a new contract. Thursday, union members are scheduled to vote for what they call a job action motion which could mean walking off the job. Teachers are unhappy with contract terms imposed last month by the school board after the two sides were unable to reach a negotiated settlement.

Mayor Miro Weinberger joined us to talk about the ongoing issue.
