Posted: Updated:

There are new details about a deadly arson fire in Northfield. Police say a boyfriend and girlfriend were doused with gas and lit on fire. Now there are new charges in that case.

Police say it was a drug robbery that ended with one person dead and another badly burned.

It happened back in December. Efren Serrano, 26, suffered serious injuries and police found Brittany Burt dead inside the first floor apartment on Union Street.

Initially police charged three people from Montpelier with attempted robbery and 45-year-old Tammy Wilder, and 33-year-old Howard Hoisington and Jonathan Zampieri remain jailed. Now, Hoisington and Zampieri face arson with death resulting charges. And a fifth person, Kimberly Hoisington is accused in the robbery too. A sixth person accused shortly after the incident has since died.

The two men accused of lighting the fatal fire face life in prison if convicted.
