Norwich honors brothers killed in Iraq and Afghanistan

Posted: Updated:

A new memorial at Norwich University honors those killed in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The names of military members with connections to the country's oldest military school are featured on the new plaque.

Current students say Norwich is a family and they wanted to be part of honoring their sacrifice.

"They've put forth more effort towards the greater good really, they wanted to be a part of something that was bigger and I feel like they need to be recognized for that," said Ashley Del Rosario, a Norwich cadet.

Current students shared the stories of the seven men memorialized at Norwich.

  • Maj. Charles Robert Soltes, Junior 1968-2004
  • Sgt. Adam P. Kennedy 1981-2007
