Windsor's Seth Balch throws a touchdown pass and intercepts a pass in the endzone during the first quarter of a 42-6 win over Otter Valley in the Division 3 state championship game.  It's the first state title for unbeaten top seed Windsor since the 2009 season.

"I'm humbled and honored to be part of a team like this and to be a part of a team with this much history in football, going back 125 years," Balch said.  "It's an amazing feeling. I couldn't thank my teammates more and my coaches more and my family. It's really special."

On the Yellow Jackets opening drive, Balch passed to Jake Tucker for a 66 yard touchdown pass and a 6-0 lead.

Balch's interception came on the ensuing drive by the third seed Otters.

Hunter Patenaude added a 54 yard touchdown run in the second quarter for Windsor.

"It feels so awesome. I wouldn't have wanted to go out with any other team," Patenaude said. "I love all these guys. They're like family to me. We've built such a great relationship over these past few weeks, few months, and we just kept building.  We never gave up, we never got down on each other, we just kept pushing through."
