MIDDLEBURY, Vt. -

Saturday at Castleton University, the best high school seniors in the state will take the field for the 16th annual North South game. Kickoff is 3pm. The South is coming off a 54-19 win last season and this fall south school's won all three state championships. Both teams have talented players, but the North will have to slow down the South's potent Offense.

"The North is a tough nosed region," Milton Senior, Dustin Rock said.  "We've got strong running backs, fast running backs and I think it just comes down to who wants it more at the end of the day."

"We have a good defense and as long as we come to play our game, we'll be able to compete with the South team," CVU Senior, Nate Shanks said.

The South feel they have the players that can duplicate last season's performance.

"We've got all these crazy athletic wide receivers with what I think is the best quarterback in the state," Fair Haven Senior, Jordan Phillips said. "So, I think it's going to be a high scoring game on our part."

"I think it's going to be a really fun game to play in," Burr and Burton Senior, Griff Stalcup said.  "It will be really cool to showcase the South's ability against the North."
