Victims identified in Lamoille River crash

Posted: Updated:
MORRISTOWN, Vt. -

Police have released the names of the two people killed in a car crash in Morristown.

Police say 34-year-old Paul Smith and 25-year-old Leonard Audet died when their car went off Route 15-A near Tenney Bridge. The car was found Saturday morning submerged in the Lamoille River.  Authorities say Smith was driving at the time of the crash and that speed appears to be a factor in the accident.

It's still not clear when the crash took place, and police are hoping witnesses come forward who may have seen the 2005 Saab 93 prior to the accident.
