Whats cooking: Salted Caramel Sauce

BURLINGTON, Vt. -

Salted Caramel Sauce
5 tbsp Butter
½ cup Dark Brown Sugar, Packed
½ cup Heavy Cream
pinch of salt
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
2/3 cup Confectioners Sugar

1. Bring butter, sugar, heavy cream, and salt to a rolling boil in a heavy bottom sauce pan over medium high heat. Continue to boil for one minute. Remove mixture from heat and stir in vanilla and confectioners sugar. Serve hot.
