She started making fudge sauce in her home in Dorset, but then moved to a bigger kitchen in Manchester. But when this Made in Vermont product is produced, the real movement begins.
Stephenie Frawley is always on the move. "Would you like to try some hot fudge sauce?" she asked.
And with her comes little jars of joy. "I've wanted to start a business. It's something I've always wanted to do," she said.
A few years ago Frawley purchased a small business from another Vermont woman and fittingly re-branded it into the Road Trip Food Company. "I really am going for fun. It's hot fudge sauce in a cheap wagoneer," Frawley said.
Growing up riding horses, Frawley spent years traveling to horse shows. "I've seen every road and highway in Vermont and New England I think," she said.
She passed that tradition on to her kids, taking them to various athletic activities. "I've been driving around forever."
Now she spends her days driving around fudge sauce. Today, it's a tasting demo at Healthy Living in Burlington. "I really think it makes a difference to put a face with the product and have people taste it," Frawley said.
"It's very rich in flavor and it's really wonderful tasting chocolate," said Fernanda Canales, a Healthy Living shopper. "I'm always looking for Vermont made items that I enjoy so that I'm able to bring to family that they can enjoy as well."
"Thank you so much. Have a nice day," Frawley said.
Next stop is a a delivery to a corporate client downtown. "This one business uses them as thank you gifts," Frawley said. "Going to see my accounts is a fun thing. It's not sort of a work day at all. It's networking and chatting and seeing how it's doing and how I can help them make it better."
A business owner truly willing to go the distance.
