Norwich Men's Hockey captain Tyler Piacentini returned to campus Sunday after spending a few days in the Boston area. Piacentini and the rest of the National Champion Cadets were at Fenway Park on Thursday night to get recognition for their accomplishment. Piacentini threw out the ceremonial first pitch before the Sox-Yankees game, and under a good amount of pressure, tossed a strike.
"I was lucky that it reached the plate," Piacentini said. "I was a little nervous right before I threw it, but I'm thankful that it was a good toss. It was pretty crazy. It was definitely a special night for us, for our team. It's pretty crazy, you win a national championship, then a month later our team is throwing out the first pitch at Fenway Park."
