Deadline drawing near for PFOA blood testing

Posted: Updated:
BENNINGTON, Vt. -

Time is running out for folks in the Bennington area to have their blood tested for PFOA.

The deadline to sign up for the final PFOA blood draw is Wed., May 24. The draw is scheduled for June 6 at the Bennington Local Health Office.

PFOA is a potential carcinogen. The state says private wells in the area were likely contaminated by Saint-Gobain, a Teflon coating producer.

The tests are free of charge. Click here for sign-up information.
