Judy Simpson returned to reporting in May of 2010 after spending 10 years as producer and anchor of the Channel 3 News Daybreak, weekdays beginning at 5 a.m.
Judy began her broadcast career in 1984 when she was hired by WVNY-TV as anchor for morning cut-ins and reporter, then promoted to co-anchor at 6 p.m.
She was named News Director of WHLL in Worcester, Mass. in 1987 where she anchored hourly cut-ins and was the host of a daily half hour live talk show.
In 1988 she was hired again by WVNY in Burlington as News Director, and also anchored the 6 p.m. news.
In 1993, she "retired" for full-time motherhood.
Channel 3 News persuaded her to return to reporting in 1997 for WCAX-TV. In February of 2000, Simpson was promoted to producer and morning anchor of the Channel 3 News This Morning.
Judy did her internship at ESPN, and in 1982 graduated from Boston University, with a BS in Broadcast Journalism.
Between 1982 and 1984 she worked for Cablevision of Boston and Cablevision of New York as a producer.
Judy and her husband Phil have two children.
