A Flood Watch continues for Vermont and the eastern Adirondacks through Sunday afternoon. An additional 1-3" of rainfall is expected by Sunday morning; this could create poor drainage flooding, as well as flooding along streams and some local rivers. Temps will be stuck in the 40s across the valleys and 30s in the mountains. Northerly breezes at 10-20 mph will make it feel even colder.
Some parts of the area will also see wintry weather! Snow levels will continue to lower to around 2000' by this evening. Periods of mountain snow will persist through the night and into Sunday morning. Accumulations are expected to be light around 2000', with more than 6" is likely across the summits.
Sunshine will finally return on Memorial Day, with highs in the 60s. Keep your cameras handy, as the some mountains could be white-capped, making for great pictures.
Temperatures will continue to warm up through the rest of the week. A warm front could bring us some scattered showers or a rumble of thunder by Wednesday.
Be safe!
