A freeze warning means a crop killing frost is highly likely. A frost advisory means that frost is possible.
We finally saw some breaks in the clouds this afternoon, but it did remain rather chilly! If you are trying to prolong your growing season, you will want to cover your garden plants tonight.
Tonight, as skies continue to clear out, temperatures will drop quickly. Areas of frost are likely outside of the Champlain Valley with lows in the 30s for most of us, a few of the colder spots will drop into the 20s.
After a chilly start on Monday, our temperatures will recover into the 60s. Areas of morning fog will give way to sunshine, but clouds will return again Monday evening, with a trough of low pressure moving through.
Showers are likely, mainly after midnight Monday night, with scattered showers Tuesday.
Then Wednesday and Wednesday night, a reinforcing shot of colder air may trigger a few mountain showers, and it will be chilly again Thursday and Friday.
