BOSTON, MA (AP) -- Alex Kovalev and Tomas Plekanec each had a goal and an assist as Montreal dumped the Bruins 5-2 in Boston.
The Canadiens took control when Plekanec and Maxim Lapierre scored 54 seconds apart midway through the first period. Kovalev made it 3-0 in the second period with the Canadiens' second power-play goal.
Mathieu Dandenault clinched the victory with a pair of late goals after the Bruins closed within 3-2.
Cristobal Huet stopped 23 shots for the Canadiens, who are 5-0-and-2 in their last seven games. Huet had a shutout until Aaron Ward scored late in the second period.
Montreal has won its last eight meetings with the Bruins, and 15 of the last 18.
