10 MO OLD NM HOUND/SHEP? MIX
Abandoned at HSCC, Wally is a bit timid around unfamiliar people and occasionally growls if he doesn't feel safe, but warms up very fast to friendly people and likes kids. Will need to continue meeting lots of nice strangers (esp with treats!). VERY food-oriented--almost as though he is starving and this makes him fairly easy to train but he may counter-surf, get into trash, and snatch food from hands. Loves to play with dogs and overall is a friendly pup that needs basic training, lots of exercise, and exposure to the friendly world.

Nelson is a big, goofy, playful teenager looking for fun and adventure! Needs lots of exercise-can spend hours playing with other dogs and would probably do very well in a home with another dog. He's a great dog that just needs of exercise and a commitment to training as he gets older.
