Chestnut Hill, Mass. - Carolyn Swords and Brittanny Johnson scored 20 points each to lead the Boston College Eagles to a 76-64 win over Vermont in the second round Postseason WNIT at Conte Forum.

Boston College held a five point lead with 8:29 remaining in the first half, but a quick 6-0 spurt by Vermont pushed the Catamounts in front by one with 7:18 left. But the Eagles quickly countered and closed the half with a 12-5 run to take a 35-29 at the break.

UVM opened the second half with a 12-6, capped by a three-pointer by Courtnay Pilypaitis to knot the game up 41-41. BC's Ayla Brown answered with a three-pointer and the Eagles scored eight straight points to push their lead to eight 49-41 with 13:22 left in the game. Vermont trimmed the lead to four, but the Eagles held the Catamounts without a field goal for eight-and-a-half-minutes, to build a 14-point advantage and post the victory.

Vermont closes its season with a record of 24-9 and a record of 3-2 in the Postseason WNIT. The Eagles improve to 21-11 and advance to the round of 16 in the WNIT to face St. John's.
