Burn Ban Issued in St. Lawrence County

St. Lawrence County, New York - April 21, 2008

Many are enjoying the unseasonably warm and dry weather. And it is expected to last through the week.

But it's not all good news. The ingredients are perfect for brush fires. Dozens have been reported. In St. Lawrence County, New York, a burn ban has been put into effect.

In Vermont, similar conditions have authorities considering a statewide burn ban. The department of forests and parks will discuss the situation Monday.
