BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) - The UVM Women’s Hockey team sprinted out to a lead in the opening minute and never looked back en route to a 6-1 win over Holy Cross Saturday afternoon at Gutterson Fieldhouse. With the victory, the Cats moved to 3-1 overall and in conference on the season.

Vermont got their early advantage just 14 seconds in: Natalie Mlynkova skated by the defense and Olivia Kilberg pounced on the rebound from her shot for the opener. The Cats would add two more in the second and three in the third for the final 6-1 margin.

UVM was originally scheduled to play at Maine next weekend, but that series has been removed from the school’s online schedule.
