More turkeys seen in New Hampshire
CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - Snowy weather didn’t stop protesters in Maine, and skiers have a new snack option in Massachusetts thanks to the coronavirus pandemic.
Dozens of people gathered at the Maine Statehouse on Saturday to protest Gov. Janet Mills’ handling of the pandemic.
Meanwhile in Massachusetts, a farm that used to sell coffee and doughnuts from a lodge partway up Wachusett Mountain is now operating a “ski-through” service instead to maintain social distancing.
In New Hampshire, officials say people spending more time at home likely led to a huge increase in the number of wild turkeys reported in a recent survey.
