BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) - Burlington Mayor Miro Weinberger five months ago appointed Kyle Dodson as the city’s director of police transformation.

The appointment was a direct response to protests over the summer over police excessive force allegations and race relations in the wake of the shooting of Jacob Blake and Goerge Floyd.

With the City Council now divided over how to handle police staffing after budget reductions, the YMCA CEO has his hands full.

Céline McArthur spoke with Dodson about how the job is going. Watch the videos below for the full interview.
