Northfield girls, White River Valley boys win D4 track & field state titles

It’s Northfields first title since 2018, first ever crown for WRV.

BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) - The Northfield girls and White River Valley boys earned team state titles at the Division Four track and field state championship meet Friday at Knapp Field in Manchester.

On the girls side, Northfield finished with 124.5 points, claiming it’s first team title since 2018. White River Valley was second (116 points), followed by Craftsbury (86), Green Mt. (69.5) and Sharon (41).

The White River Valley boys won the program’s first state title, finishing with 90 points. The next five teams were separated by just six points, with Northfield second (76 points), Craftsbury third (73). Green Mt. and West Rutland tied for fourth (71), with Arlington a point back in sixth.
