Vermont groups take new approach to gender pay equity

BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) - Pay equity for women in the workforce has been an ongoing issue for years.

In 2019, the Burlington High School Women’s Soccer team -- in support of the U.S. Women’s team -- revealed t-shirts under their jerseys hoping to drive the conversation. Now, there are several organizations using a different approach to convince businesses to equal the playing field.

Dom Amato spoke with Cary Brown, executive director of the Vermont Commission on Women, about the new effort.
