Community corrections officer pleads no contest to sexual exploitation
NEWFANE, Vt. (WCAX) - A former Vermont community corrections officer has taken a plea deal following charges he sexually exploited an inmate.
Joshua Russ was arrested about a year ago after investigators said he paid a woman he was supervising for oral sex several times.
Russ worked for Brattleboro Probation and Parole at the time.
Under the deal, Russ pleaded no contest to sexual exploitation of an inmate and prohibited acts. He could serve anywhere from four months to four years in prison.
