Snowplow Spotlight: Snowy and RACS Snow Destroyer
BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) - In this week’s Snowplow Spotlight, we are highlighting two plows: Snowy and RACS Snow Destroyer.
Snowy was named by kindergartens at Thetford Elementary School.
The principal says the entire school voted and Snowy won by an avalanche.
The driver Hunter LeFevre, is a graduate of Thetford Elementary School. The principal says he started working for VTrans while he was a student at River Bend.
He plows I-91 north from Thetford to Bradford and says he loves the truck name.
Riley Lewis drives the RACS Snow Destroyer.
The kids at the Rutland Area Christian School named the truck.
The Destroyer takes care of Route 7 from Wallingford to Danby and Route 140 from Wallingford to Mount Holly.
“The name is cool because the kids think we’re out there trying to ‘Destroy’ a snow day and keep them in school and keep things safe on the roads,” said Riley.
