DERBY, Vt. (WCAX) - Multiple crews were up late fighting a fire at Fred’s Fuel in Derby Tuesday.

The Newport Fire Chief says the fire was reported around 9 p.m. Tuesday. He says a delivery truck in a fenced-in area caught fire and that caused another one to start burning. While the trucks contained fuel and gas, we’re told that part didn’t catch fire, although the tanks reportedly melted. The chief says some tires did explode, but no one was hurt.

The fire was put out by 12:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.
