Car fire shuts down I-89 in Sharon

SHARON, Vt. (WCAX) - A two-car crash led to a fire that shut down both northbound lanes of Interstate 89 between the Sharon and Bethel exits on Tuesday afternoon.
It happened around 4 p.m. Video from the scene showed heavy smoke and flames shooting into the sky.
Vermont State Police said one of the vehicles involved in the crash caught fire and the interstate was closed until the blaze was extinguished.
No one was injured.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
