Scott Fleishman

Reporter/Anchor
Burlington, Vt.

I'm the Weekend Morning Anchor and Features Reporter for the Channel 3 News on WCAX-TV.

I joined the Channel 3 team in the fall of 2010 as a Sports Reporter after working in sports departments in Providence, R.I. and Eugene, Ore.. In 2017, I made the transition to anchoring our weekend morning newscasts. I have also continued our longtime series "Made in Vermont" which features Vermonters and their local products.

Throughout my career, I have been fortunate enough to receive several honors, including three Edward R. Murrow awards for sports reporting. I was voted the 2008-2009 TV Sports Announcer of the year by the Oregon Association of Broadcasters, earned multiple New England/Northwest Emmy nominations and was the 2015 Vermont Sportscaster of the Year as voted on by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association of America.

Originally from Framingham, Massachusetts, I graduated from the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in North Adams in 1996 with a degree in English/Communications. When I'm not watching New England sports or binging comedies like Parks and Recreation, I am usually jogging around the neighborhood. I met my wife in Vermont and we have a Chihuahua mix named Nellie.

I take pride in my ability to tell local feature stories. If you have an idea for a "Made in Vermont" or other feature, please email me.
