Christine Hinkel

Christine has spent most of her life in Vermont. She attended Shelburne schools and graduated from CVU.

Christine graduated from Penn State with a bachelor's in Sociology with a concentration in Criminology. She discovered journalism interning in the Environment Unit at CNN in Atlanta.

Christine moved back to Vermont and was hired by WCAX. After stints as an associate producer and reporter, Christine focused exclusively on producing, working on the weekday evening broadcasts and special projects. In 2003, she was part of the team to win the Edward R. Murrow award for best small market television broadcast in the nation.

In 2017, Christine was promoted from Executive Producer to Assistant News Director. She steers the news team throughout the day and helps young reporters and producers develop into seasoned journalists.

Christine lives in Essex with her husband and daughter.
