Mike McCune

A two-time Vermont Sportscaster of the Year as voted by the National Sports Media Association, Mike joined the WCAX Sports Department in 1999 and has been Sports Director since 2008.

Along with his sports duties, Mike also served as co-host and co-producer of "The :30," a news show featuring in-depth interviews with a wide variety of guests, for five years, and has been a frequent guest on NESN, both pre-game and in the booth during games, for Red Sox and Bruins broadcasts.

Prior to joining WCAX, Mike worked in television and radio in White River Junction and Bellows Falls, Vermont. He attended Dartmouth College, graduating in 1992, and was a starting offensive lineman on back-to-back Ivy League championship football teams in 1990 and 1991.

Mike was born and raised in San Diego and lives in South Burlington with his wife and two children.
