BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) How do you blend arts and science to improve the environment? That was the focus Friday of the 2019 Leahy Center Environmental Summit.
The biennial summit aims to help artists and scientists partner to communicate the value of water protection and restoration projects in Vermont.
Keynote speaker Dan Borelli of the Harvard Graduate School of Design explained how he blended art and science to explain the story of a Superfund site in Ashland, Massachusetts.
"I think art can shift it from a culture of loss to one that's regenerated itself and has found a new identity," Borelli said.
This is the fourth summit at the Echo Center to focus on water quality.
