Science Hacks: Walking Water

BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) - A quick science experiment you can craft at home, "Walking Water" teaches you about how liquids can move against gravity. Why? To show how capillary action allows liquids to move from one place to another without the help of gravity or other outside forces!

You'll need:
- Paper Towels
- Water
- 3 empty glasses
- Food coloring

Watch the video to see how these items combine to make a fun experiment you can do at home. Be sure to have an adult involved whenever you work with water and especially food coloring (no surprise messes!). Also, this is an experiment that requires patience, which is often a part of conducting good science. Remember, sometimes things worth knowing take time!
