AG: No charges in Brattleboro officer-involved shooting

MONTPELIER, Vt. (WCAX) The four police officers involved in shooting a fleeing suspect in Brattleboro this spring will not face charges.

Mark Triolo

The Vermont attorney general's office announced Thursday that it will not prosecute the three Brattleboro officers and one state trooper who wounded Mark Triolo.

The Texas man was wanted in connection with a string of robberies and was shot by police the night of May 4, shortly after he allegedly committed robberies in Weathersfield and Westminster.

Authorities say Triolo came to Vermont after fleeing Texas where he was on parole from a previous robbery conviction.
