Accused killer cleared for trial
A man accused in a deadly stabbing in downtown Burlington has been cleared for trial.
Louis Fortier is accused of stabbing and killing Richard Medina on Cherry Street a year and a half ago. It happened in broad daylight right off the Church Street Marketplace.
Fortier is being treated for schizophrenia.
Doctors now say he is competent to stand trial.
He is due in court is next month.
