An assembly line to help the hungry Saturday morning

BARRE, Vt. About 60 Lions Club members from all over the state filled the Canadian Club in Barre on Saturday.

People scooped, bagged, and packaged ten thousand mac and cheese meals that will be distributed around the state.

The Lions Club says they do the event because it is important to help those in need around the state.

"We sometimes don’t see the hunger in our area and there are many many thousands of people here in Vermont who are hungry," said Molly Celani of the Lions Club.

The members who packed the meals will bring the packaged food to their clubs around the state. They will then bring the boxes back to their home towns and then distribute the meals.
