The Red Hen Bakery in Middlesex is putting together the base layer of graham crackers for what they will say will be the world's largest s'more.
"We spent about a half a day making these crackers on Thursday," said Randy George.
George is leading the construction which started earlier this week. On Saturday he is getting a little help from his daughter in the assembly process.
"She's a great baker actually," said George.
George says quick planning of the event didn't give enough time for a Guinness world record official to be at the event, but when complete, the s'more will measure 4 feet by 8 feet for a total of 32 square feet. The current record is 5 feet by 5 feet - a total of 25 square feet.
"Unofficially, this will be the biggest ever," said George.
The Bakery whipped up their own recipe for the the gram crackers and the marshmallows, something you can't find on their menu normally.
"We never make graham crackers we never make marshmallows, so that's different," said George.
But what about the chocolate? They turned to their neighbor next door at Nutty Stephs who will be supplying the sweets.
"It's going to be 60 pounds of chocolate on the worlds biggest s'more," said Jaquelyn Rieke of Nutty Steph's.
So as George continues to prepare in the kitchen, he hopes the celebration of the s'more - is more than sweet.
"We are a player in this but this is really about bringing the community together having something fun to do," said George.
