GEORGIA, Vt. (WCAX) Police say a man was found dead in a car in Georgia Monday afternoon.
Vermont State Police say a passer-by called about a car off the road on Route 104A. Investigators who responded found the body of Christopher Nichols, 58, of Morrisville, in the driver's seat. They say it appears Nichols missed a slight curve in the roadway and drove several hundred feet into a field. Police say it appeared the car had been there for several hours and there was very little damage to the vehicle.
Nichols' body was sent for autopsy.
Police say the death is still under investigation but it is not considered suspicious and neither speed nor alcohol are believed to be factors in the crash.
