NORTH YARMOUTH, Maine (WGME) The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office will not say if a body found in North Yarmouth, Maine is that of missing Colchester High School graduate and UVM alum, Kristin Westra.

The body was found in a wooded area off of Gray Road on Friday around 10:30 a.m., a mile from Westra's home by car and a half mile from her home through the woods.

Crews had been searching the area for the missing Maine teacher since she went missing late Sunday night or early Monday morning.

Westra's brother, Eric Rohrbach, says his brother-in-law and Westra’s husband told him Westra got up in the middle of the night and when he woke up at 6 a.m., she was gone.

Teams spent most of the week searching the woods and fields around Westra’s North Yarmouth home.

Family members say she was experiencing anxiety before she went missing.

The medical examiner will work to identify the body and a cause of death.
