Body of missing St. Albans man found in Lake Champlain

Search crews have recovered a body preliminarily identified as the man who disappeared in Lake Champlain Tuesday.

The family of Andrew Lynch, 42, of St. Albans, called police Tuesday to say Lynch was missing. Investigators found Lynch's car abandoned on the Vermont side of the Rouses Point Bridge. And that was where the search centered.

Vermont State Police say at about 7 p.m. Wednesday, crews found the body of a man preliminarily identified as Lynch near the bridge. It was sent to the medical examiner for an autopsy.
