The Burlington School Board on Tuesday night is scheduled to approve a bond proposal for a major renovation project at Burlington High School.

The school board will choose from three options that range in price from $60 million-$70 million. School officials say the campus has a range of deficiencies including accessibility issues.

If the board makes a decision Tuesday night on the spending measure, it will then go to City Council next week which will decide whether to put it on the November ballot.

"Once that is done it will have to go to City Council for approval of the bond. And once that bond is approved, then we can get into the conversations around the specifications," said Yaw Obeng, the superintendent of Burlington schools.
