Burlington police chief released from hospital

Burlington Police Chief Brandon del Pozo has been released from the hospital. Mayor Miro Weinburger, D-Burlington, tweeted the news Tuesday afternoon.

The mayor said del Pozo is now home resting comfortably.

The chief was flown to the UVM Medical Center and treated in the ICU after a weekend bicycle crash in Keene, New York. Police say del Pozo lost control of his bike and crashed, breaking bones and getting a concussion.

He is expected to make a full recovery.
