A car fire closed part of Interstate 89 just north of Exit 6 in Williamstown Friday afternoon.
Firefighters said four people were inside the Pontiac Grand Am. They all got out safely.
Vermont State Police briefly closed the northbound side of the interstate while the fire was put out, which tied up traffic for a bit.
There was a trail of oil on the highway and firefighters said they think the car may have had an oil leak that caught fire.
