Champlain home destroyed by fire
Crews from New York, Vermont and Canada were called to a fire in Champlain, New York, early Tuesday.
The back portion of a two-story house was fully engulfed when crews arrived on scene. Firefighters say the home was under renovation at the time and was unoccupied. They say the freezing cold weather made fighting the fire more difficult.
The cause of the fire is unknown. An investigation is now underway.
